04 – Getting Started Golfing

Note:

This is an interview format podcast I did with my older brother Bob in the spring of 2015.  So, the relative time references are no longer accurate.  However, I enjoyed doing the interview with him and making the episode, so I am keeping this one in the archives.   ( JGP – 01/28/16 )

Do you golf?  If so, do you want to improve your game?  Of course you do!!  All golfers want to improve their game.  And this is the perfect podcast for you to learn about a local Chippewa Valley resource that can help you do just that.

In this episode, I interview my brother Bob Pecor, and we talk about the golf coaching that he will be doing this year through his new Strike The Ball Golf coaching program.  Bob provides a peek into his motivation for starting Strike The Ball Golf and shares details about his coaching philosophy, what he will be offering, and the approach he will be taking with his students.

Bob’s coaching will be offered at Princeton Valley Golf Course in Eau Claire, WI.   Click here to read more details about his coaching program.

03 – Finally… Jason gets back to recording podcasts!

03 – Finally… Jason gets back to recording podcasts!

Wow!   It has been a long time since my last episode, and I am FINALLY getting back behind the microphone again.  Here is what you will find deep in the auditory goodness of this short new episode:

Website

I provide a short introduction and overview to the gettingstartedpodcast.com website  where I talk about:

  • the graphic design help you can get from fiverr.com
  • a brief description of the Divi them from Elegantthemes.com
  • and SO MUCH MORE!!   Wait, that’s about it regarding the website, actually.

Ideas for Developing the Getting Started Podcast idea

I share some of the thoughts that I have had regarding how this particular podcast can grow beyond the chronicles of my podcast set-up experience.  Even I am getting bored with that story…   I started thinking that lot’s of people are getting started with something be it a new hobby, a different job, starting a business, an exercise program…anything!  This could be a podcast that focuses on local resources for newbies looking to start activities from Aardvark Watching to Zoo Keeping.

Perils of the Home Studio

Finally, I talk a bit about my home studio transitions from the extra bedroom, to the office, back to the extra bedroom, and final banishment to the basement.   Such are the perils of the home studio.

That’s all for this episode, folks!  Thanks for stopping by to catch-up on what I am doing, and thanks for listening!

02 – Tunes & Gear

02 – Tunes & Gear

In this episode I talk about some production and studio upgrades that I have made in the recent couple of weeks including:

  • New background music that I picked-up from JewelBeat.com
  • A Heil PR-40 microphone
  • An HD Webcam from Logitech

I spend a few minutes talking about my initial impressions of the microphone and share thoughts about the music I selected.

In addition, I share a short teaser regarding a new potential project to help someone else get their podcast up and going.

01 – Very First “Getting Started” Podcast

01 – Very First “Getting Started” Podcast

This is it, folks, the premiere release of the Getting Started Podcast, Episode 1!  In this episode, you will hear me talk about…

  • My initial experience and thoughts when pairing the Mackie ProFX8 mixer, M-Audio M-Track USB interface
  • My first ever Skype interview using a Mix-Minus setup

That’s right, just two topics.  But these two topics provide sufficient fodder to serve the purpose of this initial release.

Thanks for joining me on this journey!
